FAQ

Using the rank checker

Where do I get a DataForSEO API login?

Create an account at dataforseo.com, then find your API login and API password under API Access. The API password is different from your account password.

Is my API password stored on your server?

No. It's kept in your browser (for this session only, unless you tick "Remember on this device") and passed through to DataForSEO with each request. Nothing is logged or saved on our side.

Why is my position different from what I see on Google?

Your own searches are personalised by location, history and your signed-in account. This tool runs a clean, non-personalised search for the market and device you pick.

What does "Not in top 100" mean?

Your domain didn't appear in the first 100 organic results for that keyword in that market. Check the page is indexed and targets the keyword clearly.
