How bulk checking works
Check multiple keyword rankings at once in three steps
-
1
Paste your keyword list
One keyword per line, straight from a spreadsheet, Search Console export or client brief.
-
2
Set the market once
Country, city, language and device apply to the whole list, so every result is comparable.
-
3
Run and export
Each keyword is checked live on Google. Download keyword, position and URL as one CSV.
What people use it for
One bulk run, a whole picture of your rankings
SEO audits
Check every target keyword for a site in one pass and spot which pages rank, which don't, and which are close.
Client reporting
Export a clean CSV of positions and URLs and drop it into Sheets, Looker Studio or a monthly report.
Local & multi-market checks
Run the same list for Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, or India vs the US, to see how rankings change by market.
After a launch or migration
Re-check your full keyword set after a redesign, migration or big content update to catch drops fast.
Finding quick wins
Sort by position to find keywords sitting at 11–20, the ones a content refresh can push onto page one.
Cannibalisation checks
See which URL ranks for each keyword. Two pages swapping on the same term usually means they're competing.
What a bulk run costs
Pay per keyword checked. Never per month.
DataForSEO bills about $0.002 for every 10 Google results scanned, and the check stops as soon as your site is found. A keyword on page one costs about 0.2¢, and one that isn't in the top 100 costs about 2¢.

Estimate assumes about $5 per 1,000 checks (a typical mix of ranking depths), billed by DataForSEO.

The guide
How to check rankings for multiple keywords (the right way)
What is a bulk keyword rank checker?
A bulk keyword rank checker looks up where your website ranks on Google for a whole list of keywords in a single run, instead of one search at a time. For every keyword you get the organic position (1–100) and the exact URL from your site that ranked, for the country, city, language and device you choose.
It's the fastest way to answer "where do we rank for everything we care about, right now?", whether that's 20 keywords for a blog or 500 for an ecommerce category.
Why check keywords in bulk instead of one by one?
- Consistency. Every keyword is checked with the same location, language and device, so results are directly comparable.
- Speed. Paste the list once and let it run, with no repeated searches and no copy-pasting results.
- Accuracy. Manual searches are skewed by your location, search history and signed-in account. A clean, non-personalised check isn't.
- A shareable record. One CSV with every keyword, position and URL is ready for a spreadsheet or report.
How to run a bulk rank check with KeywordRankChecker
- Open the rank checker app and add your DataForSEO API login in API Settings. It's only kept in memory for your session.
- Enter your domain without https://, for example yourwebsite.com.
- Paste your keywords, one per line.
- Choose a preset market, or switch on a custom location for city-level checks using a DataForSEO location code.
- Pick desktop or mobile, optionally switch on search volume, and click Check Rankings.
- When the run finishes, click Export to download the CSV.
Building a good keyword list
The best bulk lists mix the keywords that drive revenue with the ones you're trying to grow. Good sources:
- Google Search Console: queries with impressions but an average position worse than 10.
- Your money pages: the main keyword plus two or three variations for each product, service or category page.
- Competitor keywords: terms your competitors rank for that you're targeting too.
- Local variants: "service + city" terms if you serve several locations. Run them with a matching city location.
Reading bulk results: where the quick wins are
Sort your export by position and group it:
- 1–3: protect. Keep these pages fresh and well linked.
- 4–10: optimise. Better titles, internal links and more complete content can move these up.
- 11–20: your best quick wins. They're relevant but just off page one.
- 21–100: check intent. The page may need a clearer focus, or a different URL should target the keyword.
- Not ranking: make sure the page is indexed and that the keyword appears naturally in the title, H1 and copy.
Then look at the ranking URL column. If the same keyword is held by a different page each time you check, or by a page you didn't expect, you may have two URLs competing for it.
How to keep a ranking history without a subscription
KeywordRankChecker gives you live, point-in-time rankings rather than an automatic history. To build your own trend line, run the same list on a fixed schedule (weekly works well), export each CSV and paste it into one Google Sheet with a date column. A simple pivot or chart then shows movement for every keyword, for the cost of the checks alone.
What a bulk check costs
Each keyword is one live Google lookup through the DataForSEO SERP API, billed at about $0.002 per 10 results scanned. The check stops as soon as your site is found, so a keyword ranking on page one costs around 0.2¢ and one that isn't in the top 100 costs around 2¢. Turning on search volume adds a separate charge, so leave it off when you only need positions.
FAQ
Bulk rank checking questions
How many keywords can I check at once?
You can paste hundreds of keywords into a single run. Each keyword is a separate live Google lookup, so bigger lists take a little longer and cost a little more, but there's no plan cap.
Is the bulk keyword rank checker free?
The tool is free: no subscription and no markup. Ranking data comes from the DataForSEO API using your own account, so you pay only the raw cost of the checks you run.
Can I check rankings for a specific city?
Yes. Switch on a custom location and enter a DataForSEO location code to check rankings for a city or region, in any language Google supports.
Does it check mobile or desktop rankings?
Either. Choose mobile or desktop before you run the list. Rankings often differ between the two, so check the one your audience uses.
Does it track ranking history?
No. It gives you live, point-in-time positions. Export a CSV after each run and keep them in one spreadsheet to build your own history.
How far down Google does it look?
Up to the top 100 organic results for each keyword. If your site isn't in the top 100, the keyword is marked as not ranking.
