Who do I pay?
Only DataForSEO, through your own prepaid account. KRC never charges you and never sees your payment details.
Is there really no subscription?
Yes. There's nothing to subscribe to and nothing to cancel. If you don't run checks, you don't pay anything.
Why does one keyword cost more than another?
DataForSEO bills per 10 Google results scanned. The checker stops as soon as it finds your site, so a keyword on page one needs one page (about 0.2¢), while one that isn't in the top 100 needs ten (about 2¢).
How do I keep costs down?
Leave search volume off unless you need it, check weekly rather than daily, and focus bulk runs on keywords that matter to you.
